Vol. 2, Issue 1; January 2006
After several years of reconstruction Trinity Episcopal Parish in downtown Seattle has been reopened. The church structure was severely damaged after the Ash Wednesday Nisqually earthquake of 2001. During the construction work the congregation met in the parish hall. Fortunately, no damage had been done to the organ. As part of the construction project in the church the organ, Marceau & Associates Op. IV, has also been reworked as well. Prepared for tonal additions as well as some tonal changes and revoicing are being completed to work better with the vibrant new acoustic of the sanctuary. A rededication of the organ is being planned for later this year. This instrument will also be featured at the Fall convention of the America Institute of Organbuilders in 2006.

Marceau & Associates has just completed Op. 23, a small choir organ for St. Mark Lutheran Church in Anchorage, Alaska. The small 3 rank instrument is placed up in the choir loft to assist the choir when the beautiful Kenneth Jones tracker organ is not used to accompany. The instrument is comprised of various parts giving it a "interdenomonational pedigree." The genesis of the project was formed from the Roy Helms positive. Additional pipes and chests as well as a portable 1 manual console make this unique organ very versatile and flexible and further enhances the music program of St. Mark Lutheran.
